LungenTagebuch is a respiratory health diary app for horses, developed by Andreas Grapentin (SoDa — Software und Daten). This privacy policy explains how the app handles your data.
In short: LungenTagebuch stores your diary data locally on your device. If you create an account, your data is also synced to our server so you can access it across devices and share horses with other users.
LungenTagebuch collects and stores the following data that you enter:
All diary data is stored locally on your device using Android’s Room database. Your preferences are stored using Android DataStore. Authentication tokens are stored in encrypted SharedPreferences using AES-256 encryption.
If you choose to create an account, your data is synchronized with our server at lungentagebuch.grapentin.org. This enables you to:
Data transmitted to the server includes your horse profiles, daily and weekly entries, and medication presets. Photos are not synced to the server and remain only on your device.
Your password is never stored in plain text. Authentication uses secure JWT tokens that are refreshed automatically.
LungenTagebuch uses the following third-party services to fetch weather and environmental data based on your horse’s stored location:
LungenTagebuch does not integrate any analytics, advertising, or crash reporting services.
The app declares location permissions to allow you to set your horse’s location on an interactive map. Location data is only used when you actively choose a position on the map. The app does not track your location in the background. The stored coordinates are used to fetch relevant weather and pollen data for your horse’s area.
If you add a photo for a horse, it is copied to the app’s private storage on your device. Photos are not uploaded to any server or shared with any third party.
LungenTagebuch provides a data export feature that saves your diary data as a JSON file to your device. You can also import previously exported data. These files remain under your control and are not automatically shared with anyone.
If you use the horse sharing feature, the diary data for that horse becomes visible to the users you share it with. You can revoke access at any time. No data is shared with third parties beyond what is described in this policy.
You can delete individual entries or horses at any time within the app. When you log out, all local data is cleared from your device. To request deletion of your server-side data, please contact the developer.
Depending on your device settings, Android may include app data in cloud backups or device-to-device transfers. You can control this in your device’s backup settings.
LungenTagebuch is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this privacy policy is updated, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
