Privacy Policy — Lens45

Overview

Lens45 is an AI-powered workout form analysis app developed by Andreas Grapentin (SoDa — Software und Daten). This privacy policy explains how the app collects, processes, and stores your data.

Data Collected

Lens45 collects the following data to provide its form analysis service:

  • Email address — used for account authentication
  • Video frames — extracted from user-selected videos for analysis
  • Pose estimation data — joint angles and body landmarks detected via MediaPipe on your device
  • Analysis results — AI-generated scores, feedback, and improvement suggestions
  • Feedback messages — voluntarily submitted user feedback
  • Session metadata — device-generated information such as exercise type, timestamps, and frame quality scores

Local Storage

Analysis sessions, including extracted frames and results, are stored locally on your device in a local database and as image files. You have full control over this data:

  • You can configure automatic storage expiration in the app settings
  • You can delete individual sessions or all data at any time
  • You can export and import your session data

Server-Side Processing

When you request a form analysis, the following data is sent to the Lens45 server:

  • Selected video frames (downscaled to max 720px)
  • Pose estimation data (joint angles)
  • Exercise type and lift context (weight, notes)

The Lens45 server acts as a proxy and forwards this data to the Anthropic Claude API for AI analysis. The server does not perform analysis itself.

Server-Side Storage

The Lens45 server stores the following data for quality improvement and service operation:

  • Analysis results, frames, and pose data from completed analyses
  • Email addresses for authentication
  • Feedback messages

This data is retained for quality improvement purposes. You can request full deletion of your server-side data at any time (see Data Deletion below).

Third-Party Services

Lens45 uses the following third-party service:

  • Anthropic (Claude API) — processes submitted frames and pose data to generate form analysis. Anthropic’s own data retention and privacy policies apply to data processed through their API.

Lens45 does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, advertising, or crash reporting services. There is no Firebase Analytics, no ad SDKs, and no third-party crash reporting.

Data Deletion

  • Local data: You can delete sessions directly from the app at any time, or uninstall the app to remove all local data.
  • Server-side data: You can request deletion of all your server-side data by sending an email to andreas@grapentin.org.

GDPR Compliance

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to access — you can request a copy of your personal data
  • Right to correction — you can request correction of inaccurate data
  • Right to deletion — you can request deletion of your personal data
  • Right to data portability — you can export your session data from the app

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
